Don't put the kill switch on the center console! Somebody from the outside of the car needs to reach it. But don't put it on the outside of the car! Then you can't reach it. Doing both is just costly and excessive. So install the switch with one of these brackets that attach to the A-Pillar, where everyone can reach it easily. We offer two options:
- The nearly flat plate is designed for the Moroso/Rotary style switch, which uses a single large threaded shaft & nut setup. This works perfectly on our Corvette C5 roll cages, being installed in the front corner of the A-Pillar. The position is ideal for routing the wires right above and through the dashboard, and keeps the switch easily within reach of the driver.
- The two-piece bracket is designed for the OMP/Hella style switch. This uses two 1/4" / M6 bolts to fasten. Why the open goofy shape? We found it more convenient to allow the switch to drop down from the bracket, rather than fully encapsulating it, which would make installation/servicing the wiring more difficult. Plus, the design also offers the ability to weld on a plate with captive nuts, to which the actual bracket can bolt to. This further allows ease of installation/servicing that a solely-welded setup would limit.
